Protecting your Account with Two-factor Authentication

Learn how to enable two-factor authentication in your Nexudus account.

Enabling two-factor authentication is a quick and easy way to further secure your Nexudus account. After entering your email and password to log in, you'll also need to enter a code you receive from an authentication app on your mobile device. This additional step ensures only you can access your account and reduces the risk of your account being hacked.

Every Nexudus user needs to enable two-factor authentication from their own account.

Enabling Two-factor Authentication

Before you enable the feature in Nexudus, download an authentication app such as Google Authenticator that is available for free on iOS and Android mobile devices.

  1. Log in to your admin account in Nexudus if you aren't already logged in.
  2. Click the user icon in the bottom left corner of the page.

  9. Click Verify and enable.

Your account is now protected by two-factor authentication. Next time you log in, you'll be asked an authentication code after you enter your email and password.

All you need to do to access the code is open Google Authenticator. You can then enter the code you see on the app in Nexudus and access your account.

Adding a Backup Device

We strongly recommend you export your account in Google Authenticator to a backup device. This ensures that if you lose access to your main device, you still can obtain authentication codes to log in. Your main device is usually your phone. Your backup device can be another phone or a tablet.

  1. Download Google Authenticator on your iOS or Android backup device.
  2. Open Google Authenticator on your main device.
  3. Tap the three dots in the top right corner of your screen.

  9. Tap OK on your backup device.
  10. Tap Finished on your main device.
