Assigning different tax rates to products

You can use three different types of tax rates on any item you sell, Tax rate, Reduced Tax rate and Exempt Tax rate. This is helpful when you want to make sure that a customer is always invoiced with the tax rate type you set on his account.

Setting the Tax rate type on a member's account

  1. If the side menu is not visible click .
  2. In the side menu clock Operations and then Members & Contacts
  3. Choose the member or customer you want to add the preferential Tax rate
  4. Go to the Account section and click + Tax rate type
  5. Select the Tax rate type
From this point on if any item that you sell has the preferential tax rate set in the Finance section, when a new item is sold the system will allocate the tax rate type for that item to the user. If the item doesn't have any special tax associated to it, the system will assign the default tax rate.
