How to create and use message macros

Message macros are saved messages or parts of messages that you can select and use when generating new messages or reminders to communicate with members. You can include message tokens in your macros to leverage data from your Nexudus account and automate some communication with your customers.

Creating Message Macros

  1. If the side menu is not visible, click .
  2. Click CRM > Message Macros.
  3. Click Add message macro.
  4. Add a meaningful name in the Subject field.
  5. Select your space from the Location drop-down list.
  6. Add your message in the Message text field. 
  7. Click Save.

Adding Message Tokens to Message Macros 

  1. If the side menu is not visible, click .
  2. Click CRM > Message Macros.
  3. Click the message macro you want to edit. 
  4. Click where you want to add the message token in the Message text field.. 
  5. Click Add a message token. 
  6. Select the message token you want to add. 
    All the available message tokens are listed and you can find the full list of message tokens with descriptions below. 
  7. Repeat steps 4 and 6 for every other message token you want to add. 
  8. Click Save Changes once you've added all the relevant message tokens.

    The day before the macro is sent

Editing Message Macros

  1. If the side menu is not visible, click .

  2. In the side menu, click CRM, then click Message Macros.

  3. In the list of message macros, click the name of the one to edit.

  4. Make the necessary changes (see the table above).

  5. Click Save changes.

Deleting Message Macros

  1. If the side menu is not visible, click .

  2. At the end of the message macro you want to delete, click . A pop-out menu is displayed.

  3. Click Delete.

 There is also a Delete button at the bottom of the message macro editing page.

Sending Message Macros

  1. If the side menu is not visible, click .

  2. In the side menu, click Operations, then click Members & Contacts.

  3. Click the name of the member or contact you want to send the message to.

  4. Click the CRM tab, then click Messages.

  5. Click Send message.

  6. In the Message macro drop-down box, select the message macro you want to use. Notice that the Subject and Message boxes have been populated with the message macro text.

  7. If required, edit the subject line and message text.

  8. Click Send message.
