Checking in using Wi-Fi

Allowing customers to check-in using your wifi network.

If you want your customers to check-in using Wi-Fi, you must first enable this feature in your space's settings and then set up access tokens to provide internet access. You can also use passes, which you can sell to a customer directly or through a plan.

  2. In the side menu, click Settings.

  3. In the Features section, click Check-In system.

After a customer adds their device, Nexudus Spaces recognises the device every time the customer accesses the network. The customer must also have a valid pass or access token. When the customer becomes inactive for 15 minutes, they are automatically checked out.‌

About Access Tokens

With Access Tokens, _**_you can give a customer a block of minutes that they can use to connect to the internet. Access Tokens are directly linked to Check-In via Wi-Fi so that when someone is connected via the captive portal, they can use the token to access the internet. Access tokens simply provide internet access for a certain time period.‌

The Access Token will be valid for as many devices as the capacity of the room booked is. The token is valid from 15 minutes before the booking starts all the way to 15 minutes after the booking ends.

To add an Access Token

  1. If the side menu is not visible, click.

  2. In the side menu, click Operations.

  3. In the Access & Check-in section, click WiFi Access Tokens.

  4. Click Add access token.

  5. In the Access code textbox, type a name for your token.

  6. From the Location drop-down list, select one of your spaces.

  7. In the Description textbox, type the details about your token.

  8. In the Minutes included textbox, type how many minutes are available for your token.

  9. Optional: If you want to limit the validity period of your token, select the date range in Valid from and Valid to. If you leave these fields blank, your token is valid until its minutes are depleted.

  10. In the User limit textbox, type the maximum number of users who can be assigned to your token.
